Stover-Evelyn Mary Crooks Stover was born Oct. 23, 1896 in Santa Ana, Cali f., and passed away on Sept. 13, 1969, at the Kootenai Memorial hospita l, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. She was married to Clyde Stover in Rivers, Ga ., on Dec. 8, 1915, and they spent most of their lives working at our inst itutions, she teaching most of the time in our church schools. It was in 1 941 that they moved to the Northwest. Those left to cherish her memory inc lude her husband, Clyde Stover, one daughter, Marie, and son-in-law, Dr. E rnest H. Wells, of Coeur d'Alene; three grandchildren: Douglas D. Wells, L oma Linda, Calif., Carolyn and Kathryn Wells of Coeur d'Alene; one great-g randson, three sisters and one brother.
Note: The Pefley / Montgomery County connection is: Evelyn's husband is the son of Moses Stover, who is the son of Andrew Stover, who is the son of Elizabeth Pefley (1808-1872).
